Raymond is a village in Montgomery County located just off of I-55, 30-40 minutes from Springfield, IL. There is easy access to other towns from I-55, Illinois Rt. 48 and Illinois Rt. 127. Raymond’s population is around 1000….enjoy small town living in a fine community!
Raymond is the base of the Panhandle School District, which also includes the communities of Farmersville, Waggoner and Harvel. The mission of the Panhandle Community Unit School District 2 is to provide the maximum educational experiences and opportunities for all children, enabling them to develop to their fullest potential. The Magnuson Grand Hotel and Conference Center is a hotel, restaurant and lounge – great for family get-togethers, weddings and conferences! The Huntergreen Inn & Pub is a nice restaurant that has been open since 1990. It has a great atmosphere, amazing food, good drinks and excellent service. Shoal Creek Golf course is a 9-hole public golf course, a restaurant that has been open for over 22 years! The course features 2 sets of tees for different skill levels. Golf season is from March 1st through November 1st.
